Water Scarcity Clock

Clean freshwater is an essential ingredient for a healthy human life, but 1.1 billion people lack access to water, and 2.7 billion experience water scarcity at least one month a year. By 2025, two-thirds of the world’s population may be facing water shortages. This clock was designed and animated to communicate the social issue topic of water scarcity. I started my data from the year 1990 to show how water scarcity has been an issue for too long and is increasing as the seconds tick

Water Scarcity Presentation

we were tasked with creating a presentation and giving a live 5 minute presentation about our topic. My final presentation was an animation that was based mostly on visuals. Since I was giving a live presentation I used minimal text to highlight the important points and facts. I time my presentation with the images and practice till it was perfectly timed.

Insufficient 

The Visual Communication Design Program at ASU hosts an Annual
Senior Exhibition every year. Due to covid, our exhibit is virtual. Based on my social issue, water scarcity, I designed a two panel structure that communicates my issue and steps you can take to solve the problem. Along with exhibit I have made an interactive quiz where I ask question and talk more about the issue. I have also included a water footprint calculator so one can see how much water they use.

Senior Book

A 135 page book detailing the research that went into my social issue topic, as well as the other projects and events from my senior year in the VCD Program. Since this is the last book I’ve designed in the program, extra care was spent on making sure the grid system and applications of typography and imagery had interest and simple consistency.
